The region of South Bohemia can suprise every visitor with its beauty. On the other hand, South Bohemia is also represented by rough mounainous landscape of stately Šumava Mountains, Novohradské Mountains and Blanský les (Blanský Forest).

The north of this country is lined with the picturesque shire of Písek Region, located in the basin of the rivers Vltava and Otava.
